Google announced that the new algorithm, Hummingbird is in effect, but the rules are the same. “Original, High Quality” content is what will get websites high page rankings. Hummingbird threatens to do away with the keyword SEO now that the new algorithms are designed to sort based on the concept behind the query.

This could change the game significantly, but not if the new concept is ignored. If marketing companies and business owners alike continue writing using keywords for search engine optimization then page ranking status has little potential of taking full benefit Hummingbird has to offer.
